Nieuws: Housing Sporteye.tv camera system
In sports analysing a training session, a certain move or a technique is a well-known phenomenon. By seeing with your own eyes your area of improvement, it is much easier to bring a movement to perfection. In addition trainers and coaches have the opportunity to watch certain actions slow motion in more detail. Sporteye.tv enables all this and more. Due to the uniqueness of its software, the images are automatically converted to a summary. Via an app you can watch recorded images. TEKLAB was challenged into realising a housing for this analysis system.
Design and realise a camera housing which meets the following requirements:
- Function on a hockey pitch
- Resistant to all types of weather
- User-friendly in assembly and maintenance
A number of housing prototypes have been made. At first the idea was tot adjust the camera to a pole and station the computer on the ground. After various tests it transpired that the housing should be able to accommodate both computer and camera. The computer processes the images and uploads them to the cloud. In order to prevent the housing from being demolished by a hockey ball, a combination of RVS, nylon and rubber was used. These materials are resistant to various weather conditions. Also a special sun hood was developed to allow for a circulating layer of air. This air layer prevents the computer from overheating. The housing also has an adjustable fan which ensures a constant climate.
The housing has been realised according to the customer specifications and can be easily and quickly produced in small numbers.
Within just a few weeks we realised a camera housing which is currently being tested by a number of large hockey clubs.
